Our story is told from the Yeoman’s perspective. Most people wouldn’t know what that means but in latent terms he is an apprentice. This story in particular states that the Yeoman is a failing alchemist’s apprentice who is trying to learn the trade his master, the Canon, has done so well at. He travels alongside the Canon trying to turn simple metals into silver. His main job is to serve the Canon and be used as a second hand no matter the cost.
